Harmony Day is a day to celebrate Australian multiculturalism, based on the successful intergration of migrants into our community. Nearly half of all Australians were born overseas or have atleast one parent who was and there are many diverse languages spoken in Australia, including more than a hundred Aboriginal languages. Australia is the most successful multicultural country on earth and we should celebrate this and continue to work to be "Together in Harmony".
To further build on our well being programs our school particapated in Harmony Day on Tuesday 27th March. Our students enjoyed rotating through fun and harmonius activities in mixed aged groups designed to promote postive connections between all students. We were joined by some of our wonderful parents for a picnic and kite flying in the playground. It was a wonderful day for everyone involved.
